On-The-Job Apprentice Training Offers More Than A Job… It’s A Career For A Lifetime
If you are looking for a promising career in a growing industry, apply to become an IBEW-NECA, Sound and Communication Apprentice. Our Apprentices attend a 3-year-training program offered through the NorCal Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC), sponsored by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). The program is taught at our state-of-the-art Technology Training Center in San Leandro. Our Apprentices graduate to become skilled Installer/Technicians who perform low voltage installation and maintenance work in commercial and industrial buildings.
Becoming an Apprentice is a great career path. The Sound and Communication electrical industry is growing rapidly in Northern California, providing employment opportunities in the fields of Security, Voice Data, Audio Video Systems and Fire/Life Safety. Have a career you can be proud of!
On-the-job training pays dividends with competitive wage rates and benefits (based on hours worked). You are paid while working, and receive medical, dental and vision benefits. You also begin to accrue retirement benefits and emerge with a solid and secure future.
